CIRCL shares videos of talks from our online and in-person events and co-hosts the STEM Video Showcase, an annual online event that features hundreds of videos on innovative STEM research! Each year, the showcase hosts approximately 200 three-minute video presentations from federally funded projects to improve STEM and computer science learning. Roughly 20 percent of the videos win recognition through awards from facilitators, presenters, and the public. A sample of award-winning cyberlearning-related videos from the showcase include:
- Field Biology in Your Living Room: Live Science and Bird Cams – Miyoko Chu, Cornell
- International Community for Collaborative Content Creation – Eric Hamilton, Pepperdine University
- Empowering Young Girls in STEM – Allison Master, University of Washington
- The BioSim Project: BeeSim – Naomi Thompson, Indiana University
- Inventing, Designing, and Engineering on the Autism Spectrum – Wendy Martin, EDC
By presenting their work in the showcase, leaders of STEM education grants reach other researchers, practitioners, policy makers, and parents in a forum where they can ask questions and provide feedback and new ideas for the field. Since 2015, these showcases have attracted over 100,000 participants from more than 154 countries. Check out videos from the 2019, 2018, 2017, 2016, and 2015 showcases!
